Screaming Frankie

Some recent images of racing legend Frankie Dettori shot on race day at Ascot. We arrived early and scouted a couple of locations to shoot these images. Frankie was filming a behind the scenes 'day in the life' video, I make a rather unplanned appearance you can watch it here: Video - as a portrait photographer Frankie was great to shoot - like his racing he gave it everything.

Personality and Professionalism

As a commercial photographer working in London I’m often called upon to help companies develop their visual identity. Be that shooting their amazing facilities or the amazing people that work in those facilities. We can help find the right balance between personality and professionalism. Below are a few of the website overhauls, brand repositioning and portrait session shot in recent months for global firms AJ Gallagher, Alexander Mann and Blueprint.

DofE Campaign

Here are a series of 5 images shot for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.

As part of their Diamond Anniversary celebrations, they are inviting everyone to take part in a challenge inspired by the DofE awards, asking you to take on your own adventure, personal or skill challenge...From Kayaking the Zambezi to learning to bake.

As an advertising photographer we put the whole shoot together in house from location recce, styling and grooming services - right through to the retouch. The images will be rolled out over the coming year to help raise funds for this valuable charity. Budget was tight so all the images were shot in and around London over a two day period.

Roy

A couple of recent images of England football manger Roy Hodgson - shot up in his office in Wembley, North London. Roy was lovely, just back off his holidays from the states where his son lives; he was relaxed and happy to pose for me....I have shot Roy a few times now and as a portrait photographer he’s always the ideal sitter. A true gent.

Anthony Crolla

A recent image shot on the roof of Big Sky Studios in the blistering heat as part of my ongoing Sport Uncovered series for Sport Magazine. Anthony said: "It’s a better feeling than I imagine any drug or drink gives you. That’s the thing about boxing: the lows can be so low, but the highs can be higher than anything you can imagine.” I love shooting these images, as an advertising photographer its great to be given so much freedom.

Berlin

Here is a recent commission for the inaugural revamped and redesigned edition of Airberlin Magazine for which I undertook the cover shoot and some of the inside imagery. Shot in Berlin and London - wunderbar. The model was a member of staff but I have to say as a commercial photographer I couldn’t have wished for a better sitter.

Sporty Faces

Two recent shoots featuring the women’s England football teams star striker Eni Aluko and cricketing legend Freddie Flintoff. Eni was shot out at the Chelsea training ground whilst we set up to shoot Freddie and his pocket square in central London. As a sports portrait photographer both were a delight to work with.

RNLI

We were recently called upon by the RNLI to shoot a series of advertising images to promote their mass participation event 'H2only'. The sponsored challenge sees if people can drink just water for ten days. The images are being used on bus backs and tube advertising. Below is also the scamp that was used in the original brief. We took care of all aspects of production in house to make the scamp a reality.

Jamie Oliver

A recent shoot with the naked chef aka Jamie Oliver at his Old Street, London, HQ. Shot for Timeout. Jamie has launched Food Tube Magazine which will appear as an inserted section in Timeout. We shot first thing in the morning...after Jamie had finished eating his huevos rancheros. A lovely lifestyle shoot in central London.

Politico - ES Magazine

I was recently sent to Brussels for a few days by ES Magazine to shoot the launch of ‘Politico’ a newspaper and website focusing on the world of politics. The rolling news site originates from Washington and has invigorated political reporting state-side. I spend a few days shooting a documentary feature on the new Brussels edition as it hopes to recreate its success in Europe….out in today’s ES magazine.
